5. Recommendations

Based on the SWOT analysis, there are some quirks that needed to improve on our webpage. There are a few improvement that we hope to apply in the future that are focused towards reducing the impact of the negative effects and capitalizing on our strengths and opportunities. Improvement is a good way for us to make our website more likeable and could be a tough competitor for other website. The improvements are:-

5.1 Responsive Design

In our work, we strongly believe a good responsive design is vital in creating a pleasant and interactive experience for user experience. Hence, we will always be updated with the contemporary responsive design to produce more vivid and more interactive design in order to guide visitors into the site, through the content, and towards the call to action.

5.2 Mobile Phone User Friendly

Secondly, we would like to apply is make our webpage more accessible in mobile phone. Our website is mainly focused for the access of user on laptop or desktop browsers. Although it could work in smart phones, yet it will require time to load and certain fonts are not in the correct order.

5.3 Social Media

Thirdly, we would like to add more social media network. Example of media we would like to add are Google Ads, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube channel. This is because we are on an e-commerce industry and ultimately, a great web is about building relationships, fostering audiences, and sharing information. Thus, social media would improve a web to be more enjoyable, more interactive and more accessible other than just our main webpage.

5.4 RSS Feed

Fourth, we need add another function to our website is an RSS Feed button. RSS is a technology that is being used by millions of web users around the world to keep track of their favourite websites. With the availability of RSS Feed, it will make our visitor able to get update regarding our business. For example, an update about offers.

5.5 Live Chat for Customer Service

Lastly, we would also wish to create a live chat as it provides efficiency and immediacy of the experience. According to 2013 U.S. Wireless Customer Care Full-Service Performance Study, it is stated that the highest online satisfaction among customers were those who use the chat feature for faster and more convenient service. Being a web developer, we wish to increase ultimate efficiency, comfort and convenience for online user experience.

6. SWOT Analysis

6.1 Strength

E-Commerce Industry

As years passed by, more customers shifting to online shopping. With that information in hand we conduct a website to make an easy access for visitors to book our services.

User Experience (UX)

In the making of the website, we make sure to fit the requirement that our design is customer-oriented designing. To make more appeal to our website, we make sure that the design is fresh looking and informative content. Effective navigation and search feature is our core function to make an easy access for our visitor.

Interactive visual graphics with animations. When scrolling down the page, visitors could witness the beautifully illustrated and captivating story, which introduces the different appealing sides our website. (Idler, 2012)

Internal Factor

We are able to respond very quickly as we have no red tape, and no need for higher management approval. (Mind Tools Editorial Team, 2015) We are able to give really good customer care, as the current small amount of work means we have plenty of time to devote to customers. We can change direction quickly if we find that our marketing is not working. We have low overheads, so we can offer good value to customers.

External Factor

Internal assets [both tangible and intangible] that help to obtain our goals more easily — high ranking in major search engines for certain strategic keywords; high traffic from both new and repeated visitors; excellent content with a useful blog; very user-friendly with easy navigation, high security, easy shopping cart and payment methods; great web design with proper look and feel.

6.2 Weakness

E-Commerce Industry

Lack of support for mobile as our website is leaning more toward laptop/desktop platform.

User Experience (UX)

Responsive design for adaptivity on different screen resolutions is vital for this digital age as we have different size of platform. An adaptive experience would provide opportunities to be extremely portable and accessible for many mobile, desktop, and future web-enabled devices. This creates a convenience for visitors to access at anytime and anywhere. Henceforth, reducing opportunity lost for the potential visitors to viewing our web.

Internal Factor

Outdated social media connections as we only have Facebook, Twitter and Skype/Facetime.

External Factor

Our website environment not up to par when it comes to other devices than laptop/desktop such as IPad/tablet.

6.3 Opportunity

E-Commerce Industry

As an online developer, we are aware social media networks are undoubtedly a marketing powerhouse for online users. Based on Gigya’s data, the distribution of shared items on the search traffic, Facebook has taken 31% while Google was close behind with 30% and Yahoo at 25%.

User Experience (UX)

Social Media is one of the newest word-of-mouth marketing. As compared to the traditional technique, social media requires the least cost, highest influence and shortest time, and biggest demographic. At the same time, it creates a better communication between social users to become closer to one another. This contributes a global and effective opportunity. (Sullivan, 2007)

6.4 Threat

E-Commerce Industry

Developments in technology may change this market beyond our ability to adapt.

A small change in the focus of a large competitor might wipe out any market position we achieve. Hence, our website should be keep up-to-date in order not to lose our royalty we obtain from our existing customer.

User Experience (UX)

Unavailability on live customer chat with the crew members makes us slow in responding.

External Factor

Arrival of new competitors could make us be an old news as new competitors will have the benefit of being something fresh and new. Aside that, customer may have new requirement that constantly changes and we have small staff, with a shallow skills base in many areas. As it says before we have small staff and as a human being we are vulnerable to vital staff being sick, and leaving. With this threat we can’t catch up with our customer’s needs.

7. Conclusion

There comes a time in our lives when we meet the right person, fall in love, get engaged and begin to plan a wedding. Most of the couples hired us, in order to avoid stress so that they can enjoy the most memorable day of their life. We designs the wedding according to the taste and sensibilities of the bride and groom. As soon as a couple decides to get married, they’re faced with heavy questions like the budget of the wedding, venue, themes, and people invited to the wedding.

Therefore, our website design stress on user experience and information availability. We wish to allow clients to easily find us and provide the best information and convenience in browsing our web.

In our webpage we provide prices for clients to refer and contact number for any enquiries. Based on the SWOT analysis and recommendation written, we believe that we could be better and improve the quality in order to be up-to-date aside from maintaining the existing quality we have. This is the time of your life when you should be revealing your love and not dodging and handling meetings and answering emails. A customer-driven website is where we come to reduce minimal stress from the unnecessary physical time and complications in this busy millennium age.
